The GILBERT COLLECTION - Silver
Ian Pickford
Ian Pickford entered the antiques silver trade on leaving school. Six years later, he became lecturer for the University of London and the University of Surrey, for NADFAS (National Association of Decorative and Fine Art Societies) and for the National Trust. Further to his very popular appearances on BBC's "The Antiques Roadshow" his writings include the now standard reference book on Silver Flatware, and he is the Editor of Jackson's Silver and Gold Marks. |

Neil Faulkner has appeared on Channel 4's Time Team, BBC2's Timewatch and Channel Five's Boudica Revealed. He is publishing a book on the subject of today's lecture. Other books include "The Decline and Fall of Roman Britain", "Apocalypse", "Hidden Treasure" and "Rome: Empire of the Eagles".

From TROY to MYCENAE: In search of Homer's Heroes
Louise Schofield
Was Curator of Greek Bronze Age and Geometric Antiquities at the British Museum for 13 years, she now works on international archaelogical projects, principally in Turkey and Albania. She has lectured at Chiltern DFAS three times, being re-engaged due to the popularity of her lectures. In 2004 she made a film with the BBC2 Horizon team on the truth behind the story of Troy. Her most recent book on Greece, "The Myceneans" was published in 2007. |

PAUL GAUGUIN - GENIUS or MADMAN?
Eveline Eaton
Eveline Eaton grew up in in Berlin. Since 1973, she has lived, studied and worked in the UK. She has a degree in History of Art from the Courtauld Institute, as well a Diploma from the Study Centre for the History of Fine and Decorative Arts. Since the 1980s, she has worked as a free-lance lecturer for Surrey University, the Art Fund and for NADFAS. She frequently guides art-trips to Berlin/Dresden, Munich and Bavaria, the Cote d’Azur, Normandy and New York. She is a member of Weybridge DFAS. |

Rosamund Bartlett has a doctorate from Oxford, and is currently Visiting Professor at Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance, and a Visiting Research Fellow in the Music Department at King's College London. We enjoyed her Special Interest Day on "Art & Revolution: Russian Culture in the 20th Century" in March 2011 so much we had to ask her back. |
